Jason and Kimberly McCarty started Sweetshrubs in February 2010.  The Sweetshrubs property sits adjacent to Camp Hawkins, a summer camp for children with developmental disabilities, where Jason and Kimberly met as counselors in 2005.  

While working at camp in the summer of 2009, the property became available and the couple were delighted to begin a business so close to the place of their meeting.

Jason brings over 15 years of industry experience to the Sweetshrubs team, with responsibilities including landscape maintenance and installation, design and consulting, and independent garden center management in Athens, GA.
